Robert L. Spears, Esq.
Bob was born in 1954 in Breckenridge, Minnesota. He grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and joined the Marine Corps in 1973. He served on active duty with the United States Marine Corps until he received an honorable discharge in 1977. Bob earned a Bachelor's Degree in English with a triple minor in History, Biology, and Anthropology from the University of South Dakota in 1981. He obtained a Masters Degree in Public Administration with special emphasis in Healthcare from the University of South Dakota.
From 1983 to 1988 Bob worked in hospital administration at Marian Health Center in Sioux City, Iowa and Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown, South Dakota. In 1988 Bob attended law school and obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1991 from the University of South Dakota, School of Law. Bob worked as an associate attorney for Wiles & Rylance for a little over a year then he established Spears Law Office, P.C. in 1992. In addition, from 1991 to 1993, Bob served as the Deuel County States Attorney.
Since that time, Bob has practiced in several areas of the law. He has experience in all types of litigation involving over 40 jury trials, and more than 30 appeals to the South Dakota Supreme Court. Bob is a member of the South Dakota Bar and the National Rifle Association.
Jennifer X. Frederick, CP
Jen graduated from South Dakota State University in 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a minor in Criminal Justice. She joined Spears Law Office, P.C. as a legal secretary in June of 2002. Jennifer took on the duties of a paralegal in June of 2007 and went on to earn the “Certified Paralegal” designation from the National Association of Paralegals in February of 2008.
Since that time, Jennifer has expanded her abilities in all areas of the law practiced by Spears Law Office, P.C. and she attends continuing legal education seminars to maintain her national certification. Jennifer is a member of the South Dakota Paralegal Association
